We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Business Development Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in expanding our merchant network and fostering long-term relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and approaching potential merchants, showcasing the value of joining the Toters platform, and supporting a seamless onboarding process.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the acquisition of top restaurant and local store partners, engaging with key contacts and generating leads through various outreach methods.
• Understand the unique needs of each partner, proposing tailored solutions and presenting the benefits of Toters’ products and services to maximize their potential on our platform.
• Support data-informed negotiations, track KPIs, and prepare internal reports to monitor progress toward set objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities, collaborating with the marketing team on campaigns that attract potential merchants.
• Gather feedback from merchants and customers to identify areas for platform and service improvements, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
• Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships within the local business community and strengthen connections with existing merchants.
• Utilize CRM tools to manage pipelines, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall merchant experience.
Requirements:
• Experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within e-commerce or delivery services.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience using data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills; training in sales or negotiation is a bonus but not required.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Goal-oriented, with a focus on achieving business development objectives.
• Adaptable to changing circumstances and a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the local market and trends is an advantage.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
