The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. The Accounting Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures relative to customers and the sales department to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the Accounting Department team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in timely and accurate manner. The Accounting Manager will have contact with Customers, Executive Directors and Controller
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure the timely reporting of monthly financial information.
• Supports budget and forecasting activities.
• Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and
objectives.
•Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources
while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
• Work with Controller to ensure a clean and timely quarterly audit
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow
of the department.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc..
• Follow up on customer accounts and re-conciliates it regularly
• Supervise all transactions related to customers
Work Experience
Three to five years prior supervisory experience in Accounting
Academic Education BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA (a plus)
Computer Knowledge Good experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and world- Microsoft Navision
