The Leidos Sentinel program is looking for a Systems Administrator to support US Army Central Command G2 in Kuwait. The program provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems as well as network administration support for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks.
The Systems Administrator will be part of a dynamic team supporting customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility including both U.S. and coalition personnel.
This is a deployed position located at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Duty hours on-site are 12‐hours per day, 7 days a week, and are subject to local labor law.
- On‐call 24x7, including weekends and holidays.
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and laptops as part of the overall systems architecture across multiple networks and locations.
- Manage users, groups and permissions with Active Directory.
- Administer and maintain virtual environments (VMware) and physical hosts.
- Administer and maintain storage devices (NetApp) across multiple locations.
- Utilize command line tools (PowerShell) to troubleshoot systems hardware, software, and configuration issues.
- Implement disaster recovery and COOP plans, systems, and operations in coordination with the Network team and other organizations.
- Basic network troubleshooting in support of the datacenter and workstation/LAN connectivity.
- Work with teammates as needed to document service structure, network, and server/storage architecture and ensure data security and availability for customers both local and remote.
- Collect, review, and store server log files to identify and remediate system issues.
- Document system configurations using Visio, PowerPoint, Word, or other tools and propose, defend, and implement system changes; coordinate & assist cybersecurity personnel with system accreditation efforts.
- Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGS, and updates (including operating system updates) for assigned systems.
- Assist Service Desk technicians as needed with Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting and patching of desktop systems, software (MS Office, Java, Adobe, etc), printers, and server/network related issues.
- Mentor, lead, and train junior technicians as directed.
- Participate in or lead special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements or to backfill personnel.
Security Clearance:
- Active DoD Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) required.
Basic Qualifications:
- The selected candidate must be willing to live & work in the State of Kuwait or forward deploy to austere locations as directed, and follow all corporate and local site policies and host nation laws, customs, and courtesies.
- HS Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Active 8570/8140 IAT II (or higher) Baseline Certification, such as: Security+|ce.
- Active Computing Environment certification, Associate or higher, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), NetApp, etc.
- Systems administration / systems engineering experience.
- Customer oriented with excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Hold a current US Passport with at least 36 months validity and 5 blank pages left.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NetApp NCDA, VMWare VCTA, CCNA, CASP, ITIL.
- Experience with US Intelligence networks and organizations in South-West Asia or on a Camp Arifjan service desk highly preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
