The Senior Accounting Supervisor will oversee a team of accountants responsible for the preparation of the financial records for the business ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Close monthly books of accounts and prepare various accounting and Financial statements as per central accounts schedule.
• Periodically review and scrutinize trial balance and ensure accuracy by checking entries and postings.
• Prepare periodical reports and provide to central accounts and corporate planning in time.
• Supervise reconciliation of Banks statements, Accounts Payables, and Inventory, etc.
• Ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures (eg. expenses, provisions, etc.).
• Liaise with external and internal auditors.
• Coordinate implementation of accounting and control procedures.
• Coordinate with IT in improving, enhancing system capabilities.
• Plan and schedule work of clerical staff, accountants and senior accountants.
• A graduate in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with deep understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• A professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA/CPA/CMA)
• A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Accounting function, preferably in a multinational environment.
• An organized approach with proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Developed leadership skills able to supervise a team of 3-5 accounting staff
• Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Access and working knowledge of PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ERP and Databases
