Develop good understanding of the company’s various needs & requirements and how the
supply chain team can support its overall mission.
• Formulate procurement standards and products specifications to ensure high quality of
procured goods and services in compliance with internal policies and Kuwaiti laws and
regulations while ensuring cost effectiveness.
• Evaluate market supply and enhance the database of potential and existing local and foreign
suppliers
• Segment and select suppliers based on clear and documented criteria
• Communicate efficiently with suppliers throughout the stages of procurement
• Negotiate with suppliers and develop contractual agreements and agreed price lists of
frequently bought items. Resolve any disputes that may arise, to the best advantage of the
company
• Improve the percent of spend under management
• Coordinate with the accounts payable team to ensure on-time payment of suppliers
• Evaluate suppliers based on historical performance
• Prepare seasonal forecasts for inventory items
• Liaise with budget holders in the preparation of annual budget plans
• Process purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and monitor the efficient delivery of
Procurement services to meet the end user specifications and requirements.
• Track open purchase orders and update delivery dates in the ERP system
• Ensure the accurate and on-time receipt of purchased goods and services
• Create and maintain high quality data in the product information management system
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the retail and procurement product categories
• Plan and oversee cyclical and ad hoc counts of inventory items
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize the storage and flow of materials in
storage locations
• Identify target stock levels and re-order points for fast-moving items
• Perform seasonal analysis of slow-moving items
• Monitor customer orders and fulfilment
• Manage/execute projects and collaborate with stakeholders across departments as assigned
by the Supply Chain Manager
• Carry out analysis of procurement data utilizing spreadsheets and self-service business
intelligence tools such as Tableau in data discovery and the identification of trends
Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes.
