**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**
Under the supervision of the Engineer and Special Purpose Equipment Supervisor and TMP Supervisor, RTCH Mechanic performs the full scope of field and sustainment level service, repairs and overhaul of the KALMAR/RTCH and all variants of material handling equipment (MHE); and other Special Purpose Equipment. Duties: Performs the full range of field and sustainment levels of maintenance to include but not limited to overhaul, repair and services. Check and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems; remote control systems; and variable frequency drive of crane equipment. Ensures work is complete and conforms to standards and requirements IAW technical manuals, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) manuals and local SOP/IOPs. Utilizes equipment and supplies properly. Test and inspect engine to determine malfunction. Locate missing and broken parts and verify repairs using diagnostic equipment. Perform calibrations with various types of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and precision devices. Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS), administrative services and unscheduled maintenance activities. Work in accordance with instructions contained equipment manuals and workshop time schedules; retain service records. Ensure safekeeping of workshop tools & equipment and comply with occupational health and safety regulations. Conduct Environmental Protection/Control duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
