Project Engineer II
The purpose of this role is to lead/implement complex and standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project i.e. DCS / ESD, to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints achieving required quality.
May interface directly with customers on specific design details of non standard solutions.
Can technically coach/mentor an assistant and actively shares knowledge with other engineers in the discipline team.
To support the implementation of projects in line with P&AS objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance.
Key responsibilities
1. Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
2. Ensure the Honeywell Engineering productivity tools are used/applied across the different disciplines
3. Produces part(s) of functional design specifications under supervision.
4. Produces (parts of) detailed design specifications.
5. Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)
6. Coaches and supports assigned engineer(s) to ensure that they are able to meet the requirements of their work.
7. Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.
8. Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
9. Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
10. Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
11. Reports progress and technical problems and/or changes to project lead engineer or principal engineer.
12. Responsible for technical scope of assigned (special) designs and functions.
13. Domestic Travel to various sites (including Off-shores) within Kuwait shall be Full-time.
14. International Travel will be > 25% (Site Visits Including Off-shore assignments).
Key skills and qualifications
·Bachelors’ degree in engineering preferred
·NBA accredited degree and college is preferred.
·Appropriate technical qualification for role
·Six Sigma Certification
·TUV Certification (Preferred)
Work Experience Required
·Project experience as Engineer with Honeywell Experion Control Systems.
·Design and Functional experience in DCS / ESD & FGS discipline.
·7-8 years of applicable project experience.
·With Min. 5 Years Site Commissioning Experience.
·Hand-on Experience in HMI Web and Station.
·Experience in Experion server Configuration, C300, PHD & RTU Application and Other 3rd Party System Interface will be added Advantage.
