Lead multi-skilled level team members to meet defined service schedules and respond to emergency, under, and routine maintenance request.
Interpret and apply required corrective action with data readings and results of equipment checks to identify equipment or process problems and take appropriate responses to correct or resolve problems.
Perform maintenance inspections, services, repairs, and overhauls of generator sets, power units, small engine driven equipment, and other diesel-powered and/or electricity-producing Special Purpose Equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and repair faults on engines, alternate and direct current (AC/DC) systems, electronic control systems, and other program logic controls, electrical wiring, and accessories.
Maintaining all types of power generation equipment, including but not limited to FG Wilson, Caterpillar, Marapco, Cummins, Mitsubishi, SDMO, Olympian, Kohler, Perkins, MEPs, and other military design generators.
Test batteries, fuel, coolant, and oil; collect oil samples for analysis or analyze as directed. Install specified new or reconditioned parts, make required adjustments, and reassemble complete unit.
Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Ensure work is complete and conforms to standards and requirements IAW technical manuals, established processed, and local regulations and procedures.
Requirements
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Good Communication Skills, must speak English
Minimum of four (04) years’ experience as a Generator Mechanic Lead/Supervisor required,
Trade certificate in Generator Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent, required,
Manufacturer-specific training (FG Wilson, Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, Mitsubishi) preferred.
Holding Home Country Heavy/Light Driving License required
