Title:Lead CCTV/Physical Security EngineerJob DescriptionJob Overview: The Lead CCTV/Physical Security Engineer is tasked with solving unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. The Lead CCTV/Physical Security Engineer is considered a specialist in the field of Telecommunications, and they offer a broad base of knowledge about the Engineering function. The Lead CCTV/Physical Security Engineer role requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop creative solutions to Telecommunications challenges.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards related to CCTV/Physical Security Systems.Perform site visits to gather information and prepare the report.Study the existing CCTV layout drawings give solutions for coverage study.Supply design consultants with information for all design issues including network studies and interfaces.Provide the required technical guidance to develop new specifications and update existing specifications in line with Customer requirements.Design and specification development for Telecommunication and networking) Copper and Fiber (horizontal and vertical and backbone)Design Process CCTV and Security CCTV for all the areas.Prepare, review, and (as Lead Engineer) approve Telecom systems definition, including philosophy, specifications, safety drawings, and system architecturePrepare, review, and (as Lead Engineer) approve FDS&GDS logic (as applicable) / cause & effect diagrams, cooperation with Instrumentation EngineeringAnalyze CCTV requirement for Process area, Building and Roads for installation of telecommunications equipmentCoordinate with the electrical team to complete site design solutionsTo co-ordinate with CCTV vendor develop the TBE documents.Under direction is responsible for the execution of a significant piece of engineering workMust be familiar with relevant codes, client SHELL DEPs Design Specifications and procedures, and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniquesKey Tasks:Develop creative and innovative solutions that are reliable and cost-effective for problems and challenges when they ariseInterpret contractual requirements as they relate to engineering executionIdentify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimatesRaise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred KBR procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirementsProvide technical direction and review of Designers producing products related to Telecom EngineeringProcurement assistance includes preparing, reviewing, and (as Lead Engineer) approving requisitions, evaluating technical quotations, and preparing queries, compiling bid tabulations and recommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, and coordinating with Procurement to expedite vendor documents, as directed by the Discipline Lead EngineerReview and (as Lead Engineer) approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessaryReview and (as Lead Engineer) approve specifications and data sheets for Telecom equipmentReview and (as Lead Engineer) approve Telecom equipment spare parts listsReview and (as Lead Engineer) approve Telecom equipment testing proceduresMaintain deep knowledge of Physical Security Systems related systems (CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and/or Access Control Systems (ACS), etc.)QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication Engineering,15+ years of experience in oil and gas with major contractors or consultants predominantly performing detail designPreferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering societyDetailed knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the theory, content, and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicableKnowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills
