Black & Grey HR is recruiting for one of the leading distributors of elevators and escalators in Kuwait. Our client is looking for an Installation Technician who will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning (T&C) of various elevator systems, including elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, home elevators, etc. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation and maintenance practices, adhering to industry standards, and ensuring timely completion of projects with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and T&C of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, home elevators, etc.
- Ensure installation is carried out according to layout drawings and the manufacturer’s standards.
- Execute the installation work independently or with minimal guidance, ensuring all tasks are completed within the allocated base hours.
- Regularly maintain tools and maintain good housekeeping practices on-site.
- Follow the company's safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to the prescribed QC and ISO checklists during installations.
- Follow the OSHAS procedures, including CH/FT/PTW, and critical work procedures.
- Take the lead in executing installation works as per the instructions from the site in charge.
- Support trainees and new joiners by inducting them into company procedures.
- Inform supervisors of any site issues that could hinder the day’s work plan and suggest improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Assist in closing maintenance and quality snags and ensure the proper documentation of completed tasks.
Requirements- ITI, 10th, or 12th standard with technical knowledge related to installation or maintenance of elevators.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the elevator field.
- Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Skilled in handling measurement tools and hand tools, with knowledge of welding.
- Familiarity with installation and maintenance processes for various elevator systems.
