About the job GM- Marketing

Our client, a leading FMCG company in Kuwait, is seeking a GM- Marketing who will play a key role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy across all markets where the company's products/brands are present. The position demands a strategic thinker with extensive regional marketing experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic.


Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:


  1. Develop and implement robust marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  2. Provide visionary leadership, aligning marketing efforts with overall company goals.

Team Management:


  1. Lead and inspire a cross-functional team, including product managers, trade marketing professionals, advertising specialists, and market researchers.
  2. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the marketing team.

Regional Expertise:


  1. Leverage a minimum of 20 years of diverse marketing experience, with a preference for experience in the GCC region.
  2. Demonstrate a deep understanding of local market dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends.

Brand Building and Innovation:


  1. Drive brand-building initiatives and successfully launch new products to enhance market presence.
  2. Utilize innovative marketing approaches, including new-age media, to stay ahead of industry trends.

Communication Proficiency:


  1. Fluently bilingual in English and Arabic, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and roadmap to top management.
  2. Effectively communicate objectives, KPIs, and expectations to the marketing team.
  3. Complying with health and safety, lean and sustainability practices of the company together with the regulations of the State of Kuwait when carrying out duties.

Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor of Marketing and Master's degree in Marketing or related field.
  2. Minimum of 20 years of progressive marketing experience, with a focus on brand management and strategic marketing.
  3. Proven track record of building and managing successful brands, preferably in the GCC region.
  4. Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  5. Exceptional communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  6. Experience using data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies.
  7. Experience in the FMCG Industry.
