Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles to ensure optimal
safety, performance, and compliance. This role involves managing a team of technicians,
maintaining service schedules, handling fleet budgets, and ensuring that vehicles are in top working
condition. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will also ensure all vehicles comply with regulatory
requirements and industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of fleet maintenance technicians.
Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all vehicles in the fleet.
Coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., DOT regulations).
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Track and manage inventory for parts, tools, and supplies.
Manage fleet repair budgets, analyze costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Oversee vendor relationships and manage third-party service providers for vehicle repairs and
maintenance.
Manage the maintenance budget and control cost/expense.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
Ensure all fleet vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
Implement best practices for fleet maintenance and repair processes.
Generate reports on fleet performance, repair costs, and maintenance trends for senior
management.
Collaborate with procurement to evaluate vehicle replacements and upgrades.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff stays up-to-date on the latest vehicle
technology and repair techniques.
Ensure a clean and organized Garage environment.
Review and present reports on departmental activities, including identification of potential
problems and recommendations for corrective action, forecast trends and make
recommendations.
Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Management.
