Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Executive Finance Director to join our executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished financial professional with a proven track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and business acumen. The Executive Finance Director will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the organization, ensuring sound fiscal management, and contributing to overall business success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. Oversee the budgeting process, forecasting, and financial analysis. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide timely, accurate financial reports to the executive team and board of directors. Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities. Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the financial health of the organization. Manage capital structure and funding requirements. Evaluate and recommend financing options for capital projects and expansion. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Oversee the preparation and filing of financial reports and tax returns. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier finance talent. Collaborate with executive leadership to assess and guide the financial impact of strategic initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other key stakeholders. Identify and implement technological solutions to enhance financial processes. Streamline financial operations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role. Thorough understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong strategic planning and analytical skills. Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making. Exceptional leadership and management skills. Proven ability to lead and inspire a high-performing finance team. Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated understanding of business operations and the ability to align financial strategies with overall business goals. High ethical standards and integrity in financial management. Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, with at least 5 years of experience (preferred).
