Job Description:Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching ART subjects at Middle-Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.Required Qualifications:• Must have a Bachelor Degree in Art or Fine Arts from a recognized University in the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ• Preferable to have a TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (Due to Visa Restrictions)• Must have excellent English communications skills and could pass an IELTS exam at level 6.5• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issuesRequired Experience:• Minimum 3 years experience teaching ART at Middle-Secondary grade levels • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environmentMonthly Salary Range:TAX FREE Monthly salary from KD 725 to 1175 depending on experience and qualificationsHousing:Furnished 1 or 2 bedroom apartment depending on family size OR KD 125 monthly as cash allowance. (Rent is not expensive in Kuwait)Utilities paid for by school in provided school accommodationTransportation provide to school from school accommodationHealth Insurance Coverage:Health Insurance provided for employee only (Medical insurance is not expensive in Kuwait)Annual Air Tickets:Return Annual Economy Air Fare for employee ONLY to home countryBaggage allowance of (KD) 50 granted upon first time of arrival with receiptLeave:In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per school calendar/breaks. Minimum 30 work days per yearDependant School Fees:50% discount for up to two children (depending on which school) provided they are attending same school as employeeVisa & Medical Check Fees:Visa Fees will be paid for employees only when done in Kuwait. Employee is responsible for fees for dependentsEnd Of Service Benefit:For each full year of service, school will pay 1 month Basic Salary per year worked, according to Labour Law of the countryContract Period:1 year contract - renewable yearlyLocation:Kuwait CityPaperwork Requirements:Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates.
