Bank of Jordan, a prominent financial institution in Jordan, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Team Leader with expertise in Letter of Credit to join our team. As the Team Leader in the Letter of Credit department, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of professionals, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the processing and execution of Letter of Credit transactions.

The role of the Team Leader in the Letter of Credit department is vital in upholding these principles and providing top-notch support to customers.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage a team responsible for processing and executing Letter of Credit transactions. Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of Letter of Credit operations. Provide guidance and training to team members on Letter of Credit processes, regulations, and best practices. Review and approve Letter of Credit documents, verifying accuracy and compliance with established standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations, international trade rules, and Letter of Credit practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as relationship managers and trade finance departments, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of Letter of Credit transactions. Resolve customer issues and queries related to Letter of Credit transactions in a timely and satisfactory manner. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Prepare reports on the team's performance and provide regular updates to senior management. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and new technologies related to Letter of Credit operations.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in finance, banking, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Letter of Credit operations, with a demonstrated understanding of international trade finance. Proven experience in leading and managing a team. Thorough knowledge of Letter of Credit rules, regulations, and practices, including UCP 600. Solid understanding of international trade, shipping, and banking procedures. Proficient in using banking systems and software related to Letter of Credit operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.* Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
