The Solution Architect will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that technology aligns with the client’s strategic goals. This role involves developing business architecture strategies, aligning technical and non-technical team members, defining best practices, and ensuring a seamless deployment of our customer experience solutions.
The Solution Architect will leverage in-depth knowledge of utility operations, system integration, and ERP platforms (with an emphasis on SAP) to create scalable, efficient solutions. Working closely with technical and functional teams, as well as key business stakeholders, this individual will guide the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to solution deployment, ensuring alignment with customer goals and Avertra's technology vision.
Main Job Responsibilities➢ Lead the architecture and design of Avertra’s Customer Experience solution implementation, ensuring alignment with the utilities industry best practices and customer objectives.
➢ Architect end-to-end solutions that integrate with existing customer systems, including CRM, billing, ERP (such as SAP), and other operational platforms.
➢ Define and enforce architectural standards, guiding principles, and integration best practices for utilities-focused customer service solutions.
➢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure a cohesive, scalable solution across various modules (e.g., billing, customer service, meter management).
➢ Work closely with the product, development, and business analyst teams to adapt Avertra’s Customer Experience Solutions core capabilities to meet client-specific requirements.
➢ Document architectural solutions, processes, and workflows to provide clear guidance for the implementation team
➢ Partner with key business stakeholders to define system requirements and validate that the solution supports business processes and strategic goals.
➢ Act as a liaison between business leaders and technical teams ensuring alignment of project goals and requirements
➢ Create models and diagrams to illustrate seamlessly integration with existing systems and processes
Needed Competencies (eg. Time Management, Team Player ...etc)➢ They serve as the basis for the supervisor's assessment of employee performance. ➢ Strong understanding of integration points between CRM, billing, and ERP systems, within the utility industry
➢ Extensive experience in the utility industry, with solid knowledge of customer service, billing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
➢ Hands-on experience with solution architecture, software integration, and system configuration within utilities-focused platforms.
➢ In-depth knowledge of ERP solutions and familiarity with data models, integration strategies, and industry best practices.
➢ Proven leadership to manage a project team
➢ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions and system designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education➢ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
➢ Architect certification or relevant professional certifications (preferred).
Experience➢10+ years of professional experience
➢ 5+ year of utilities experience
➢ Proven experience leading large-scale transformation projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ➢ Strong knowledge of integration methodologies for customer information, billing, CRM, and ERP systems.
➢ Deep understanding of utilities industry processes, including customer account management, billing, and regulatory compliance.
➢ Proficiency in solution design and governance across complex software environments.
➢ Strong leadership and project management skills to drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
➢ Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, with an ability to communicate complex solutions to diverse audiences.
➢ Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, languages, and cultural backgrounds, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
➢ Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying, analyzing, and resolving challenges.
