Job Description LOCATION: Amman and Mafraq Governorate CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed term
TEAM PURPOSE
One of the key program pillars in Oxfam’s Country Strategy for Jordan is Climate Justice. Oxfam recognizes and addresses the vulnerability and risks of climate change on the world’s poorest and most vulnerable while acknowledging that they contribute the least to its causes. In Jordan, Oxfam aims to increase the understanding of individuals and communities on the impacts of climate change, identify vulnerabilities and risks on communities, and generate evidence on ways to build resilience of vulnerable groups and communities.
Oxfam in Jordan’s Solid Waste Management team works together with local communities, refugees, local partners and local government to deliver interventions that address the community needs in terms of water, waste management and public health engineering.

JOB PURPOSE: The senior reporting and information management (IM) officer will support the Solid Waste Management programme in in Jordan in the compilation, validation, and analysis of data and the production of key reports. They will coordinate and collaborate with different project teams and departments for the delivery of their tasks.
DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
The following responsibilities are not exhaustive. They aim to provide a clear sense of the nature and scope of jobs at this grade:
· Coordinates and delivers agreed internal and external reports in addition to key donor reports.
· Supports in building information management systems.
· Requires the ability to analyse and communicate complex information to a wide audience.
· Communicates widely within the unit or department, with some wider Oxfam contacts and/or external contacts within a defined area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead on stakeholder engagement activities and coordination with key stakeholders in the SWM sector in Jordan.
· Support in the development of key strategic planning for Oxfam in Jordan’s CJ Programme
· Monitor new data and information available on SWM that can be used to support programme design and proposals. This includes water governance, climate change, and solid waste management.
· Establish and maintain databases, archiving systems, and documentation templates in collaboration with the project and MEAL team.
· Ensure the accuracy, organization, and accessibility of all program-related data and documentation.
· Monitor, analyze, and document new developments and datasets related to solid waste management, climate change, water governance, and environmental sustainability.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project achievements and outcomes.
· Use data analysis to generate insights that will inform decision-making processes, enhance program implementation, and contribute to new proposals and reports.
· Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all project indicators/deliverables to monitor progress and outputs, aligned with logframes and program targets.
· Preparation of regular internal reports, external reports, and key donor reports and other needed documentation.
· Ensure all reports and documentation are well-structured and aligned with budget outputs and project deliverables.
· Create dashboards, infographics, or visual reports to enhance
data presentation and make insights more accessible to decision-makers.
· Compilation and analysis of data to withdraw key information that could be used in decision-making processes, publications, proposals, etc.
· Provide input into project logframe and other tools for measuring project outputs, outcomes, and impact.
· Support thematic research on WASH and climate justice topics through the provision of compiled data and information.
· Lead on the implementation of Waste bank Pilot.
· Field visits and field support for Climate Justice and Solid Waste management projects implemented in Oxfam in Jordan when needed.

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies
Essentials
For this role, you will need to model Oxfam’s feminist leadership approach so we have selected the most relevant feminist leadership practices which we will use for assessment purposes (which you can read more):
· Experience working in the SWM sector in Jordan as a coordinator, researcher or project officer in the fields of water, solid waste management, and/or climate change and sustainable development.
· At least 1 year working in the solid waste sector in Jordan including knowledge on key sector stakeholders.
· Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
· Strong organizational and personal management skills, with the ability to prioritize work issues to meet deadlines.
· Strong knowledge of data management systems, reporting tools, and analysis techniques.
· Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data in a simple, accessible manner.
· Familiarity with solid waste management, climate change, and water governance topics.
· Experience working with donor reporting requirements and timelines.
· Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships and work in complex teams/groups.
· Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal English and Arabic.
· Previous experience in working with INGOs is preferable.
Desirable
· Ability to work with local partners.
· Previous experience in a refugee/IDP camp context.
· Programme development and design experience.
