1. Duties & responsibilities:
1.Ensure that company policies adhere to local, Nike and International
regulations.
2.Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations.
3.Monitor personnel and work space.
4.Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate document.
5.Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials and supplies.
6.Track the number of incidents and produce reports.
7.Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals.
8.Report to Jordanian Civil Dfense, social security and other relevant
organizations.
9.Attend seminars/workshops for further education.
10.Work with legislators to support key local
legislation.
11.Supervise and coordinate all safety and
environmental functions according to corporate policy to ensure compliance with
Department of Natural Resources and all related local regulations.
12.Execute excellent safety and environmental
practices on a daily basis.
13.Mitigate effluent discharge that may
adversely impact the environment.
14.Ensure that facility operations and
procedures are in accordance with the Spill Act and other applicable laws.
15.Ensure a safe work environment and that
all practices are in compliance with company and government’s regulations.
16.Audit and inspect equipment to make sure
their operation is within manufacturers’ guidelines.
17.Produce and submit necessary government
reports.
18.Initiate and implement safety and
environmental training programs for all personnel.
19.Follow up the internal and external
audits.
BSc. Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or
equivalent degree
MOLCertificate is a must
At least 3-4 years’ experience as HSE
specialist
Certification and accreditation is a plus:

(International Occupation Safety and Health)
oISO accredited
body
oPECB
(Professional evaluation Certification Board/Canada) certified body
oNASP (National
