King Hussein Cancer Center is seeking to hire the following vacancy:
Senior Bio-Medical Engineer
Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervising the implementation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance, and quality control testing on medical equipment, as per the set timeframe and requirements. Supervising a variety of technical duties, providing preventive maintenance and repairs of KHCC medical equipment and instruments. Supervising the analysis, installation, and evaluation of equipment and correcting malfunction on KHCC medical systems and instruments. Performing repairs and preventive maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled, on KHCC electro medical equipment and instruments, minor and major units, and assures operational safety of the equipment. Supervising all maintenance and repair activities, performed by service providers, and ensuring that all activities are performed according to KHCC standards. Participating in evaluating KHCC medical equipment purchases, by determining the needed specifications and requirements. Setting up tests procedures of equipment, and using measures to assess the performance of newly purchased equipment. Maintaining and updating documentation on all repairs that would help in future computation of costs of in-house services. Providing and assisting in equipment retirement analysis, as per KHCC policy, and recommending replacement or budget planning. Evaluating equipment requests and assessing their needs and/or if related service can be provided by using similar equipment in other departments. Utilizing various measurement techniques to obtain optimum operational efficiency. Monitoring spare parts procurement and assuring equipment effectiveness, and safety. Providing and coordinating training for users on medical equipment or related matters as required. Staying abreast of advances in clinical engineering through self-development, training, and research. Performing any related task as requested by the direct supervisor. This Job may require working variable shift hours as determined by the department’s needs.
Education & Professional Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering 8 years professional experience as biomedical engineer in a health care institution Good command of English Good Communication skills Ability to work under pressure Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
