About the team
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and finance.
What you'll do
General Ledger Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Manage customer invoicing and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and track expenses.
Financial Reporting:
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Compile data for audits and other financial reporting requirements.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
- Enter financial data into accounting software with precision.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of internal controls and accounting best practices
Support and Collaboration:
- Assist senior accountants and financial managers with various tasks and projects.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and provide financial information as needed.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant coursework will be considered.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle) is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
