Job Brief:


We are looking for a Senior accountant to take over accounting & finance responsibilities of the finance department in Jordan, he will be in charge of the whole accounting cycle and end of month reporting period as well as the tax & legal related matters associated with the daily operations of the company.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all financial information is recorded in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform day to day necessary transactions.
  • Payroll calculation and processing.
  • Ensure preparation and submission of management accounts and financial statements under IFRS Standards according to set deadlines
  • Maintains and revises accounting systems as needed.
  • Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures to ensure legal compliance with financial reporting and banking regulations at the local, state, and federal level.
  • Confirm that effective accounting and reporting systems are implemented
  • Reviews and processes payments made to clients, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Maintain lending facilities, bank guarantees and manage relationships with banks
  • Implement, maintain and ensure adherence to appropriate internal controls to safeguard the assets of the Company.
  • Plan and manage cash flow and monitor the performance of the Company
  • Ensure that effective accounting and reporting systems are in place
  • Produce relevant reporting as required and provide regular updates.
  • Provide business insights and decision support to the Management of the Company
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with regards to statutory, Tax, VAT and other legal filings and registrations
  • Ensure that appropriate processes are in place to identify, review, monitor and manage key risks
  • Liaise with external associates such as auditors, banks, consultants etc.
