Description: Responsibilities: •Implement occupational safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. •Identify hazardous behaviors and potential workplace risks, taking necessary preventive actions. •Assess workplace accidents and injuries, preparing appropriate reports for management. •Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on workplace hazards and safety procedures. •Communicate safety messages to employees to improve safety culture. •Investigate accidents and participate in weekly incident review meetings. •Propose safety solutions to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. •Implement new corporate safety initiatives such as energy wheel, FLL meetings, and CIC scans. •Ensure workplace readiness for internal and external safety inspections, including environmental, insurance, IMS, government visits, and contractor meetings. •Review and update safety policies and procedures for all departments, including operations, projects, and contractors. •Perform internal IMS audits, weekly GEMBA inspections, and safety compliance assessments. •Analyze audit results, identify root causes of non-compliance, and contribute to CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions). •Act as an IMS and specialized safety representative approved by regulatory bodies. •Design, document, monitor, and audit processes while measuring performance indicators. •Implement emergency evacuation plans and train employees for effective emergency response. •Ensure the availability and maintenance of firefighting equipment and safety tools. •Organize and conduct emergency response training for evacuation teams. •Enforce compliance with no-smoking policies in designated areas. •Ensure proper fire prevention systems are in place and fully functional. •Oversee pedestrian and vehicle pathways to ensure a safe working environment. •Implement and enforce vehicle speed limits to enhance driving safety. •Install traffic signs, mirrors, and markings to improve visibility and traffic flow. •Conduct regular training sessions for pedestrians and drivers on traffic laws and safe practices. •Perform safety audits and inspections to assess compliance with traffic regulations. •Develop and communicate safety policies to educate employees on best practices. •Implement measures to separate pedestrian and vehicle pathways to reduce accident risks. •Investigate workplace vehicle accidents and implement corrective actions. •Ensure the availability and functionality of vehicle safety equipment and provide user guidance. •Monitor maintenance records and confirm regular technical inspections for workplace vehicles. •Identify potential vehicle-related hazards and take necessary precautions. •Collaborate with maintenance teams to report and resolve vehicle safety issues. •Calibrate gas detection devices when necessary. •Collect, review, and enter data from Stop Cards for safety performance tracking. Requirements: •Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. •Certifications: •Professional safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), NEBOSH, or similar. •Experience: •At least 3 years of experience as an engineer or 6 years as a technician in occupational health and safety within high-risk industries. •Knowledge: •Strong understanding of safety laws, regulations, and procedures. •Ability to analyze and implement risk prevention strategies in industrial and construction environments. •Excellent knowledge of risk assessment and safety management. •Familiarity with project management principles. •Skills: •Strong analytical skills. •Excellent communication skills for coordinating with teams and external stakeholders. •Advanced risk management capabilities. •Proficiency in computer applications. •Advanced English proficiency. •Organizational and prioritization skills. •Decision-making and problem-solving abilities. •Ability to build strong collaborative relationships.
