3.*Job Profile
Under the guidance of the Protections Coordinator the Protection officer will do follow up on protection activities, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable populations within RI's program in Jordan.
Your role will be to follow up all assigned protection-related activities, ensuring that RI's programs are designed and implemented in a way that prioritizes the protection of beneficiaries align with guidelines to donor and Ministry of Education. Under the guidance of the Protection Coordinator, you will work closely with program staff, partners, and communities to identify and address protection risks, conduct the sessions with teachers and members of School Improvement Committees (SIC), link the persons with PSS issues with relevant to relevant services providers or organization
4.*Key Responsibilities
Accountability and Complexity
Assist in implementing protection strategies, policies, and activities in alignment with the organization's objectives and donor guidelines. Participate in developing and updating work plans to ensure timely execution of protection activities. Conduct field visits to monitor the implementation of protection interventions and provide technical support to field teams. Contribute to identifying protection risks and vulnerabilities among target populations, recommending appropriate actions. Conduct the session in the schools with teachers, students, members of school improvement Committees on anit-bullying, PSS and protection issues Perform any other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor
Reporting
Contribute to support the coordinator in preparing the reports for donors, clusters, and stakeholders by collecting and consolidating field data. Help out the Coordinator in preparation of IEC material or messages for the community on anti-bullying and protection Ensure proper documentation of all protection activities, including beneficiary records and case management files. work with site-level program and operational staff to develop detailed work-plans and follow-up regularly with team members to ensure that activities are on track. Conduct regular field visits to ensure the highest quality of technical standards are followed and implemented, and deliver field visits reports and observations to the Protection Coordinator
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learnin*g
Under the guidance of the Protection Coordinator Collaborate with the MEAL team to monitor protection activities and track progress against indicators. Participate in learning sessions to review project implementation and recommend improvements. Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to inform future programming.
Internal and External Coordination
Maintain effective communication and coordination with the Protection Coordinator, program team members, and operational staff. Upon request represent the organization in sector working groups, coordination meetings, and other stakeholder engagements as assigned by the Protection Coordinator. Under the direct guidance of the protection coordinator liaise with community leaders, and partners to support the effective delivery of protection services.

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, law, international relations, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in protection-related activities, preferably in the humanitarian sector. Previous experience working with NGOs preferred Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail Good understanding of protection principles and best practices, including child protection and gender-based violence (GBV). Proficiency in Arabic and English (verbal and written). Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment. Willingness to travel to project sites as required (up to 50% of the time).
