About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Presales Specialist to join our team as an individual contributor working closely with the sales team and the solutions engineering team in the technology business unit. This role is critical to our mission of delivering innovative and effective solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients, which are mainly mobile network operators and Fintech companies providing mobile money and digital payment services.  


The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our sales and technical teams, ensuring our solutions are well presented and tailored to clients’ requirements and exceed their expectations. The Presales Specialist supports the sales team by providing technical expertise, demonstrations, and solution presentations to potential customers and existing clients. Your ability to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions will drive successful presales engagements. The Presales Specialist plays a key role in building customer confidence and satisfaction, addressing technical concerns, and winning sales opportunities.  


This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, providing input to sales opportunities, and acting as a trusted advisor to our clients. You should be passionate about technology, possess strong presentation skills, and have a deep understanding of mobile networks and the telecom industry.   

  

The Presales Specialist reports to the VP of global sales and collaborates with a team of sales and account managers and directors, partnership team, marketing and especially our technical business unit which consists of solution engineers, product managers, and development teams. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Technical Expertise: 
  • Understand and articulate the technical aspects of our solutions to prospective clients. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mobile networks, the telecom industry, fintech and mobile money and related technologies. 
  • Provide insights into Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management (RAFM), Fintech, and Managed Services where applicable. 

 

  • Client Engagement: 
  • Collaborate with sales teams and technical business unit to identify client requirements and propose tailored solutions. 
  • Deliver compelling presentations, both in-person and online, to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Lead product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements to showcase solution capabilities. 

 

  • Solution Design and Proposal Development: 
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client needs. 
  • Assist in developing high-quality technical proposals in clear business English. 
  • Understand and contribute to the pricing and costing elements of sales proposals. 

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
  • Act as a liaison between sales, product, and engineering teams to align client requirements with product capabilities. 
  • Provide technical input to sales strategies and business development initiatives. 

 

  • Market and Competitor Analysis: 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. 
  • Leverage market insights to enhance the positioning of our solutions.
