Purpose of the job
Overall freight logistics process involving production subsidiary port departure, destination port arrival, Customs clearance and inland trucking up to warehouse arrival.
Key Objectives
To insure a smooth flow of goods from origin port to destination warehouse without delay and without extra charges at destination port (Demurrage , detention etc).
Position Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the inbound phase of the logistics process and make sure that there are no errors (wrong destination, wrong information...etc.) from factory, forwarders or shipping lines to port ATA during shipping and communicate the correct action with the related party if there is any.
2. Pre check on the documents with factories in relation to Customs, Tax & Free Trade agreement regulations for the incoming shipments before receiving the original docs at the office.
3. Secure available storage space in coordination with warehouse staff & prepare inland trucking with transportation vendor.
4. Ensure visibility of logistics information by sharing logistics data with sales departments from production port departure until receiving at warehouse.
5. Monitor port ATA accuracy with shipping lines and update internally accordingly to maintain accurate receiving forecast with all related services suppliers.
6. Manage all Customs Clearance Operations with customs agents at all customs points for imported goods and provide necessary requirement to; Customs Authority, TRC, JSMO and any related ministry or governmental party.
7. Manage export clearance operations along with certificate of origin issuance and export customs formalities
8. Strong background of logistics costing and solid knowledge of market price for logistics services.
