Key Responsibilities:
- Perform audits of the bank’s IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to assess their effectiveness, security, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and test IT and ICS controls, including cybersecurity protocols, data protection practices, and access management.
- Identify IT-related risks and propose actionable recommendations to strengthen system security and operational efficiency.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of responses to emerging technological and cybersecurity risks.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with the internal audit team on integrated audits covering financial and operational systems.
- Stay abreast of evolving technologies, international standards, and regulatory developments in the banking sector.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and work toward professional certifications such as CISA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Foundational understanding of IT systems, networks, databases, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Familiarity with IT audit and governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ISACA standards) is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Must be an Iraqi national.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity and governance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT.
- Understanding of compliance standards including GDPR and PCI-DSS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Preferred certifications include CISA, COBIT, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or Certified Cybersecurity Auditor.
