Consumer Experience Specialist - Retail Channel
About the position:
Are you passionate about consumer activation, retail environments, and driving brand success? JTI is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Consumer Experience Specialist to join our team. This is a key role in executing consumer activation strategies across our retail environments, ensuring our brand’s success by delivering exceptional in-store experiences. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to create meaningful connections with consumers, maximize sales potential, and enhance the performance of our retail activation programs.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Execute Consumer Activation Strategy: Work closely with the Consumer Experience lead to implement activation strategies that align with JTI’s brand objectives, collaborating with Brand Managers to ensure success across retail channels.
- Manage 1-2-1 Activation Teams: Oversee and provide performance analysis for agencies responsible for 1-2-1 activation. Monitor the effectiveness of team activities and guide them to achieve optimal results.
- Field Support and Retail Visits: Perform regular field visits (at least 1-2 times a week) to monitor retail outlets, ensuring displays are well-maintained, planograms are followed, and activation efforts are executed as planned.
- Sales & Retail Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales Team and Retail Partners to create scheduling plans for activation activities. Ensure targets are met, and performance metrics (e.g., Cost per Contact, Cost per Switch) are analyzed and optimized.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and provide regular performance reports on sales, team activities, and activation results. Ensure accuracy in data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Mystery Shopper Program: Manage and assess the effectiveness of our Mystery Shopper program, gathering actionable feedback to improve in-store consumer experiences.
- Team Training & Guidance: Guide and support 1-2-1 activation teams in enhancing storytelling techniques and ensuring JTI’s verbal communication standards are followed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years in retail activation, sales, or marketing roles. Experience managing retail teams or agencies is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze performance data (e.g., Cost per Contact, Cost per Switch) and provide actionable insights.
- Retail Knowledge: A solid understanding of retail environments and consumer activation strategies.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience in creating and managing schedules and reports.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively identify challenges and propose solutions to improve retail activation performance.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy in data collection, reporting, and ensuring retail displays are executed correctly.
- Proactive and Independent: Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and drive initiatives forward.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel and visit retail locations at least 3 times per week.
