Chief Technical Specialist - IPSA 10 Short Term - Aqaba Jordan (6 Months)

Provide strategic review and planning towards achieving indicators. Oversee and support a capacity building and training programs for all relevant national and local agencies, special interest groups and local communities. Ensure synergy and integration with all relevant projects/interventions implemented by UNDP, specifically in relation to marine ecosystem conservation. Provide technical support to government partner agencies and other stakeholders with development of essential skills through training workshops and on the job training, thereby increasing their institutional and technical capabilities. Ensure appropriate stakeholder participation in the project implementation through coordination with all concerned institutions.Enable Diversity and Inclusion:

Min. Education requirements
Master's degree or equivalent in Coastal/Marine Environmental Sciences, Biology, natural resources management, Sustainability, or related fields , OR
Bachelor's degree in combination with additional two years of qualifying work experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree
Min. years of relevant work experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience (with a Master degree) and minimum of seven (7) Years (with a bachelor degree) in coastal zone management, environmental management, sustainability, and marine/coastal conservation.
Required skills
Program and project management Experience in Result-based Programme development and management. Demonstrable skills in computer applications for editing and presentation purposes - word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. Proven experience in project/program management.
