Company:


Our client is one of the largest mushroom growers in the world and is looking for a Mushroom Production Manager to join their team.


Opportunity:


The Mushroom Production Manager oversees all aspects of mushroom production, ensuring efficient and high-quality output. This role involves managing the growing team, optimizing production processes, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement in mushroom cultivation practices.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of mushroom growers and other production staff.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, spawn, and other supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and distribution to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare reports on production performance and present to senior management.


Candidate Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mushroom cultivation or similar agricultural production management.
  • Strong knowledge of mushroom growing techniques and environmental control systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food production and safety.
