BACKGROUND
iMMAP Inc. is implementing a project aimed at providing Information Management technical support and capacity building to the Iraqi National Mine Action Authorities, including the Directorate of Mine Action (DMA) in Federal Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. The Web developer will support the development of Information Management Systems and tools for Mine Action, as well as the capacity strengthening of National Mine Action Authorities and Mine Action operators to ensure the successful implementation of the new system. In cooperation with the Senior Web Developer will plan, coordinate, and deliver Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA) training and support related information management systems and processes at required levels.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Programming:
Work with related software and programs to create online/offline forms and tools and/or maps to be used for spatial and nonspatial data collection, process management, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Responsible for configuration/developing documentation and guidelines which clearly state how to manage the newly developed information management tools. Ensure to maintain updated test log and maintenance records are archived. Apply programming techniques to enhance the organizations' capability to build tools and applications. integration of document tracking using a Mobile Web Application, as well as other programs available to support a mobile data collection toolbox. Designing a customized tool to export and import data from IMSMAng and other sources. Under the Web Developer team leader supervision, and in close cooperation with the National Mine Action Authorities and other key stakeholders, facilitate the migration of data. Design and update geodatabases, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations and editing. Research and innovation for finding and exploring unique face-related solutions. Able to travel to all provinces in Iraq for any support. Complete additional tasks assigned by the Technical Advisors and P6 project manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
In-depth knowledge of database, System and Web Development, Computer networks, related hardware, and peripheral equipment. In-depth Knowledge and skill in designing online database-driven applications. Advanced knowledge of programming theory and relational database principles. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve problems using the web application programming suit. At least 5 years of working experience in software development. At least 2 years experience in information management in humanitarian mine action programs. Experience in ASP.Net, PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript. Experience in ArcGIS Enterprise and PowerBI would be an advantage.
Soft skills
Ability to coordinate with government staff, NGOs, and other agencies involved in mine action. Ability to work under pressure. Flexible and adaptable to any situation. Self-reliance and ability to work independently are essential. Ability to work as part of the team, including other departments (Information Management, GIS, Program, etc.) Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Spoken Arabic skills are an asset.
Education
University Degree in the field of Information Technology, Information Management or Computer Science.
REPORTING, MONITORING AND EVALUATION
The Web Developer will report to Web Developers team leader as Hierarchical supervisor and to Web Developer Technical Advisor as technical guidance to ensure the developed tools are based upon sound principles of design and utilize iMMAP Inc. and donor-required monitoring and evaluation systems.
SECURITY
Follow security protocols as laid down by the iMMAP Inc. Country Security Advisor.
