Job Description:


You as a Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy based in Baghdad, Iraq. You will be responsible for cash optimization. You will be participating in and supporting the implementation of the Service leading practices. Executes technical support and solves problems in own expertise area. Managing, coordinating and performing service projects internally and externally. Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Regularly communicating both with the customer and HE sales teams to ensure we understand customer needs and utilize business opportunities for service growth.


Your responsibilities:


  • Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities  
  • Reporting unsafe practices and incidents
  • Providing technical support and solve problems in own expertise area in any service task repair, extension, upgrades, migration, retrofits
  • Managing, coordinating and performing service projects internally and externally by creating milestones, project plan, cost supervision, action steps, project reviews, project supervision, including all commercials
  • Secure delivering and executing according to customer order and expectation 
  • Ensure a tidy and safe work environment 
  • Troubleshooting equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future 
  • Communicating with customer and inform when the work is completed 
  • Reporting work (act, problems, causes, remedial, hours) 
  • Following up work order when needed 
  • Calculating and working out of tenders for customer solutions also for tailor-made solutions (if applicable after consultation with specialist department)
  • Investigating customer needs by professional consulting, e.g. for complex requirements 
  • Managing customer relationships and maintain regular contacts with customer  
  • Co-operate actively with other HE units to achieve common targets  
  • Working closely with sales team and provide it information on service-relate opportunities.  Provide marketing material to customer.     
  • Providing technical leadership and coordination for the service team 
  • Creating and developing good team spirit   
  • Proactively identify potential equipment failures and request proactive corrective actions 
  • Participating in maintenance meetings (e.g. in PM reviews) 
  • Participating in improvement activities (e.g. in Root cause analysis (RCA)

Your background


  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant field. 
  • Able to be flexible and work in a team environment 
  • Thinking and acting systemically.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English.
