Senior Officer Database

The Database Officer will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and administration of our database systems. This role involves ensuring the databases' performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate should have experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MariaDB and be capable of supporting our database environment effectively

Roles:

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle, SQL Server, and MariaDB databases (Linux and Windows).

• Perform routine database upgrades and patches.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Implement Data Pumping (Export, Import).
• Performance monitoring and optimization:
  • Monitor database performance and assist in troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
  • Participate in performance tuning and capacity planning activities.
• Implement database security best practices.
• Ensure databases comply with industry regulations and company policies.
• Support regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Support high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, replication).
• Provide support for database-related issues and user queries.

• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
