Overview

***This position is physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP.***


The Security Technician Badging Operations reports to Security Supervisor, Badging Operations. This position provides administrative and operational functions of the EAB badging section. The position is responsible for granting installation access badges to the Military, Coalition partners, DOD personnel, Contractors, subcontractors, OCN’s and Local Nationals. The position requires maturity, judgment, communication skills, team focus on addition to good temperament skills. The position regularly interacts internally and externally with the customer and other government representatives. Daily interface with all levels of the Program’s administrative and operational sections will also be required.



Responsibilities

  • Provides direction, guidance, leadership and support administratively and operationally to the activities and functions of the badging section.
  • Inventories badges, Ribbons, and other badging accessories.
  • Receives and relays pertinent communication
  • Receives installation access requests in accordance to BOS-I policy
  • Oversees quality control checks of all base access and badge requests to ensure completeness and correctness in accordance with installation access policies
  • Evaluate how overall work center performance is meeting Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
  • Manages communications with BOS-I and addresses all issues concerning the Badging and Screening processes or policies after initial review.
  • Delivers quality assurance of correct and complete packets and assists in scheduling all screening interviews
  • Actively participates in meetings and discussions pertaining to the activities encompassed in the administrative and management functions of the badging Cell.
  • Will be the lead point of contact for the badging and screening office to the LOGCAP Program leadership
  • Evaluate and resolve customer complaints and take actions to preclude reoccurrence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience:
    • Must have computer experience and have thorough knowledge of Microsoft office.
    • Prior DBIDS experience a plus.
    • Candidate must also be able to work under pressure in a high tempo environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Skills:
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Project nd Visio.
    • Ability to work with very diverse workforce.
    • Excellent English communicator both in writing and verbally.
    • Expertise in how SOP'S, Plans, Work Instructions, processes are executed is a must.
    • Proven skills in Analytical/Problem Solving.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degree Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require standard office setting, which involves sitting for long periods as well as standing occasionally.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torse, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
