Security Support Officer

Title:

Supports the security department lead (KBR SM) in managing and implementing EPCM security standards and assist with the audit implementation across KBR projects and maintain effective communication between the EPCM Security Manager and relevant parties to ensure security standards are as per MOSS or site-specific prevailing security standards.

Description of Job Duties 

• Primarily responsible for the receipt, processing and actioning of Access Control requests by contractors.
• Assisting with KBR projects and ensure security aspects are in place while maintaining day to day working links with KBR SM.
• Liaise directly with LN Security POCs.
• Assist KBR SM with site visits and audits.
• Follow up work (such as close-out actions from audits).
• Provide an interface between KBR SM and Client, OPF (and SF), and Iraqi Army – as applicable to location.
• Engaging with the local security apparatus and maintaining strong relations with them.
• Keeping KBR security management appraised of local security matters, including socio-political, cultural, religious and any relevant security factors.
• Advise KBR SM regarding contractor issues throughout KBR projects
• Maintaining a professional, courteous and strong relationship with client security management.
• Providing input to KBR Security Management documentation and plans.

Skills & Requirements

• Previous experience of having worked with government offices.
• Previous appointment as Majnoon contractor GRO/Fixer would be advantageous.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as security officer and/or strong administrative skills.
• Excellent English language abilities (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
• Oil & gas experience an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Full clean driving license.

Assist with any other tasks, as required by the KBR SM.
