Quality Assurance Engineer
Background
Registered in Iraq since 2011 with a presence in Erbil and Baghdad, iMMAP Inc. is implementing a project partnership with UNESCO aiming at operating, maintaining, training, and further developing the Education Management Information System (EMIS) for the Ministry of Education in Federal Iraq.
Description of Duties
Part of the EMIS project team, the Quality Assurance Engineer will work under the supervision of the Senior Software Engineer working on the EMIS project. He/she will be responsible for performing data validation and cleaning to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the EMIS, conduct software quality assurance (QA) testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and resolve system bugs. He will coordinate closely with the Software Engineering team to verify that all system updates and enhancements meet quality standards before deployment, document and report any issues identified during testing, and track them through the Jira platform until resolved.
Requirements
Education
University degree in Information Technology, mathematics, statistics, computer sciences or related area.
Experience
Mastery of the principles of data handling and processing.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience testing complex multi-tier client/server enterprise applications. Knowledge of Windows OS and familiarity with running Windows-based/Web-based applications. Strong knowledge of QA process and methodology. Strong project management skills including schedule development, project effort estimation and tracking, and risk assessment.* Strong problem analysis and solving experience and skills. Knowledge and experience in software test automation.
