Information Security Specialist

We seek an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team in Najaf, Iraq. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in information security and a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. This role will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's information systems and networks, as well as developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain information security systems and controls.
2. Monitor and analyze security incidents and events to identify potential threats.
3. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
4. Create and maintain documentation related to information security policies and procedures.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure software and systems.
6. Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on information security best practices.
7. Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring appropriate remediation.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest information security trends and technologies.
9. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
10. Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with information security standards and regulations.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications such as CISM, or CEH.
3. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Knowledge of Iraqi cybersecurity regulations and standards is a plus.
