PENDING CONTRACT AWARD
Summary
Responsible for the oversight of all maintenance functions for the job site. The duties include, but are not limited to: the oversight of aircraft servicing, maintaining and repair; reporting of aircraft status; oversight of all site maintenance personnel and personnel status and or disposition; recommendation on applicants for hire and promotion; liaison between maintenance and intercompany departments and company management; technical and logistical support for site issues; technical support for aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation and supervision of standard operating procedures for maintenance functions based upon their operating environment and circumstances. Address any areas of concern or non-compliance as requested by the Program Manager. Assist in the research and development of the requirements for program, as well as the deployment of parts, tooling, personnel, support equipment, and aircraft. Act as liaison with Program Management personnel relating to all maintenance/technical issues that arise related to damage repairs, modifications or any issues driving interaction with the aircraft or related appliance. Work with other departmental Managers to assist in the selection and training efforts to recruit and train personnel for existing program as required. Responsible for the coordinating efforts with Planning personnel and Site Maintenance Management to schedule, and plan for scheduled, maintenance events so as to minimize aircraft downtime and mitigate training time loss. Responsible for the coordinating efforts with Logistics personnel to insure that materials, parts and tooling are onsite, and available, for the timely accomplishment of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events. Must effectively interact with Company and customer representatives as well as with representatives of on-site business or military entities. All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship. Ability to pass physical screening requirements
Education and/or Experience
Must meet one of the following requirements:
+ A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
+ An Associate's degree plus 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
+ High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
At least 10 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations. Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment. 5 plus years experience on fleet types relevant to the assigned program. Knowledge and understanding of applicable Maintenance Program. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Preferred
B.A./B.S. from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience 15 plus years Aviation Maintenance experience 10 plus years experience with relevant fleet type. 3 plus years experience working government contract service. Have had at least one tour in the Military. Through knowledge and understanding of applicable platform Maintenance Program.
Work Conditions
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
