May have different types of formal training but all are required to be able to provide the same high level of primary and emergency medical care on site.
May administer drugs, interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs), and provide advanced airways to help breathing, and use monitors and other complex equipment.
possess good clinical skills, emergency care knowledge and experience that are applied in a work setting.
Requirements
Hold current registration or license as a Registered physician/ nurse/paramedic/physician assistant in home country
Advance Trauma Life support (ATLS) and or PHTLS or equivalent training in date certification and in no case more than 4 years since last training completed.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent training with in date certification and in no case more than 2 years since last training completed.
Competent and confident in application of primary care and medications as noted in appendix 1.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels within an organisation and remain calm in emergency situations
At least 4 years post certification experience in emergency medicine in a clinical or occupational setting
Recognize and work within own limitations and professional qualifications
