XSL-FO developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior XSL-FO Developer to join our growing team. With a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in XML technologies and expertise in XSL Formatting Objects (XSL-FO), this role will involve the development and maintenance of robust, scalable document formatting solutions for high-volume business applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in XML, XSLT, and XSL-FO to create customized document templates and reports, ensuring high-quality output for print and electronic formats.

Key responsabilities :

• XSL-FO Development: Design, develop, and optimize XSL-FO templates to produce high-quality document outputs such as invoices, statements, contracts, and other types of business reports. Work with business stakeholders to understand document requirements and ensure templates meet those needs.
• XML Data Transformation: Utilize XSLT and related technologies to transform complex XML data structures into well-structured XSL-FO documents. Ensure the correctness, accuracy, and formatting of the transformed documents.
• Document Design & Styling: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and business teams to define document layouts, styles, and formatting rules. Apply knowledge of typography, color theory, and design principles to enhance the visual presentation of documents.
• Optimization & Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of XSL-FO transformations to handle large datasets, ensuring fast processing times. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to XSL-FO rendering.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Implement comprehensive testing strategies for the XSL-FO transformations, ensuring documents are generated correctly across different devices and platforms. Conduct thorough review and validation of generated outputs to meet compliance and quality standards.
• Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including back-end developers, system architects, and database administrators, to ensure seamless integration between document generation processes and the underlying business systems. Collaborate on projects requiring cross-functional knowledge and skills.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions. Provide training and guidance to junior developers and stakeholders on best practices for XSL-FO and related technologies.
