Windows Server Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Windows Server Engineer to join our team. As an Engineer, you will support the infrastructure and drive incident management, projects, and process improvements for our Service Line. You will be responsible for ensuring normal services are restored as quickly as possible and adverse impact on operations due to incidents in IT environment is minimized. He or she is also responsible for escalated support for all Windows related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-depth engineering knowledge of Windows Server Operating System (2003 through 2022) – CIS Baseline, Local and AD GPO policies, Firewall Rules, Security Patching, Monitoring Thresholds, Automation, Benchmarks, Build and Release Management
• Provide advanced knowledge of server security solutions and vulnerability management (Defender, Rapid 7, MFA).
• Provide advanced knowledge of automation with PowerShell and/or other languages.
• Provide advanced knowledge of server deployment technologies for physical and virtual environments – Implementation and management.
• Provide advanced knowledge of Windows operating system lifecycle and Standards – Architecture and Design in compliance with IT quality and security standards and regulations.
• Provide advanced knowledge of virtual technologies (AWS, Azure, VMware) - Server build integration and related Windows OS support.
• Provide top level engineering support and leadership to global operational support team – Projects, Training, Documentation, Coordination and Escalation
• Delivering IT services, systems, and applications to the business.
• Ensuring appropriate response to audit / ISRM assessment findings and recommendations.
• Ensuring that an up-to-date asset inventory for all technology assets is maintained.
• Ensuring addition, modification, or removal of any IT asset in a standard and controlled manner.
• Ensuring that servers (CIs) are identified, accounted, reported, verified, and audited.

Must Have

• Advanced and demonstrated experience as a Windows Server Engineer - Operating System and Service Line Lifecycle Management.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent years of applicable experience.
• 8-10+ years of applicable experience.
• Fluid in aspects Windows Server (Windows 2003 – 2022).
• Experience with project management
• Experience with DFS and other storage management technologies
• Experience in Securing Windows through Policy (GPOs).
• Scripting automation skills – PowerShell.
• Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
