Business: Global Operations


Principal responsibilities


  • Support deployment of the Payments strategy and Operating Model across all CoE markets. Support the execution of financial and operational plans in line with Global Business demand and regional capability
  • Maintain discipline on headcount control/Operations FTE, Cost, achieving assigned targets. Monitor and support the targets of Service Quality, Financial Performance and Operational Risk
  • Engage with key stakeholders – LOBs, 2nd and 3rd LOD and others as may be required to review performance, identify common issues and represent Payments CoE. Design, manage and report Payment functional performance metrics. The reports must be accurate and in accordance with best practice, current regulatory requirements and agreed standards and time frames.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Global, Regional and Group Payments Services teams. Actively collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve agreed results, across all Digital Business Services, Lines of Business, Transformation, Technology and Risk.
  • Work across cultures and in a complex global environment. Represent Payments CoE as senior leader, working across function to develop. Planning and organizing with a commercial mindset of understanding management of financial drivers within Operations. Support the EXCO in driving initiatives across GPSO.
  • High level of organizational excellence is required in order to develop and implement structures that cover a significant number of functional processes, markets and locations. This individual is a highly autonomous professional, expected to pro-actively lead, manage, coordinate and monitor the performance of the function. The role will entail continuous contact with peer group, senior managers and stakeholders to coordinate efforts and report progress and results.
  • The individual will have a strong learning curve and will demonstrate the ability to apply learned techniques, knowledge and expertise to new business situations and in different business environments. Contribute to the overall governance structure in payments, including policy, decision-making and strategy.
  • Engage with Third party suppliers representing the Business Service, assist and facilitate SOW sign offs, Governance approvals, PO setup and invoice processing. Monitoring and tracking of monthly 3rd party cost and ensure accruals are processed in case of deviation from plan..
  • Manage pro-active, data led analysis to identify current and emerging risks and issues. Anticipate and mitigate risks around our control environment through helping support entities with execution of key controls and identification of control weaknesses. Manage L1 Control for BCIM and associated risk assessment.
