The Enterprise Acquisition Product and Platform team is seeking a Vice President, Market Foundations to play a key leadership role in defining and shaping the new accounts onboarding strategy for Amex. The role spans across enabling the front-end dynamic application experience and developing capabilities to enhance and personalize the onboarding experience. This VP will also lead oversight and delivery of a strategic acquisition modernization roadmap focused on migrating international markets to a modern acquisition ecosystem.
The VP will partner closely with stakeholders in Lines of Business, Technology and Control Management to drive evolution of future state onboarding experiences. This role drives the new product approval strategic roadmap for external integrations and market migrations to drive process efficiency and compliance outcomes. By partnering across the organization, this workstream will drive an increase in both conversion rates and revenue through increased automation and platform availability and scalability targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead a geographically dispersed team of 25+ colleagues. Responsible for driving colleague engagement and career development while demonstrating inclusive leadership
- Establish the product’s goals and review success metrics to achieve commercial success
- Identify opportunities and drive product strategy, roadmap, and features
- Brainstorm and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to continuously define feature priority
- Coach the team to develop products and identify value-based tradeoffs and address challenging roadblocks
- Drive process improvements to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness, accelerating value delivery to the Enterprise and our customers
- Partner with Tech, Finance and other portfolios to drive innovation and improvements in annual planning and investment processes
- Oversee the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
- Lead the product and platform functional design, research based on an intimate knowledge of the customer and technology
- Enable analytics-driven decision making to evolve products and usage
- Evangelize the ‘platform as a product’ both internally and externally and shepherd products through the development process, advocating to achieve the best outcomes
- Drive health of platform goals in close partnership with Technology counterparts including but not limited to data governance, platform availability, skill assessment, and platform security and compliance
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with end-user facing product development and management expertise, specifically from conception to delivery
- Expertise with digital user experience and design experience in a global environment
- Experience building and leading diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing teams, including as a leader of leaders
- Proven ability to see the big picture while driving digital transformations, leading the adoption of new ways of working, and leveraging storytelling to drive understanding and adoption of change
- Proven experience collaborating with and influencing senior management and peers across multiple business units, demonstrating effective courageous leadership and implementing solutions at scale
- Strategic, innovative thinker with a successful track record of problem solving, driving results, and constructively challenging the status quo within a highly matrixed environment
- Track record of flexibility, resilience, and a strong can-do attitude
- Firsthand experience working within Scaled Agile Framework and/or LEAN portfolio delivery frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in digital acquisition and proven success at leveraging consumer experiences to drive growth
