We are looking for an experienced VP Compliance to lead our compliance efforts and support MODIFI in its mission to change the world of international trade. At MODIFI you will have a great opportunity to not only be a contributor to MODIFI's business payments and global Buy-Now-Pay-Later offering, but also actively help develop global fintech partnerships. This role is based in the Mumbai, India office of MODIFI.

• MODIFI is a truly global Fintech company with customers in more than 15+ markets around the globe.

• You continuously improve MODIFI's anti-money laundering, sanctions and CTF framework. 
• You are able to immerse yourself in technical details but can also take a helicopter view on the role of Compliance in the Fintech space. 
• You focus on improving MODIFI's onboarding and trading experience for our customers and work on innovative solutions to make this more seamless and secure. You work closely with our Risk team to reduce fraud risk exposure.
• You have a deep understanding of global trade and/or trade finance and are able to assess compliance risks for structured trade transactions such as commodity trades and (structured) finance transactions with multiple involved countries.
• You recognise patterns of suspected sanctions avoidance or (trade-based) money laundering, 
• You are a trusted stakeholder in key strategic processes, such as developing Fintech partnerships. raising debt and equity financing and audit processes.
