Description and Requirements
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex VMware and Nutanix issues
- Perform advanced VM and storage configuration tasks
- Design and implement VMware and Nutanix solutions to meet business requirements
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities
- Mentor and guide L1 administrators
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and meet service delivery objectives
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of VMware vSphere and Nutanix architecture and components
- Advanced knowledge of virtual machine administration, ESXi host configuration, and Nutanix storage concepts
- Experience with vCenter Server, vSphere Distributed Switch, vSphere Storage DRS, Nutanix Prism Central, and Nutanix AOS
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) - Data Center Virtualization and Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) (preferred)
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in VMware and/or Nutanix administration
