Introduction to role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global BI Visualization Lead to join our dynamic Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, BI tools, and data analysis. The Global BI Visualization Lead will be responsible for building the business intelligence capabilities that transform complex data into insightful visualizations supporting decision-making across our global organization. This role requires a combination of technical skills, analytical thinking, and business acumen, as well as the ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultures.
Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Be a key strategic leader responsible for demonstrating the value of data and insights across the organization
- Develop and continuously refine a comprehensive business intelligence strategy and capability roadmap
- Promote a data-driven culture throughout the organization and improve existing BI processes
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the global organization
- Lead and mentor a team of top-notch talent across various global regions
2. Business Intelligence and Visualization:
- Ensure data and insights are integrated into every aspect of the business
- Familiarity with using a broad set of BI Tools including Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its features, including hands-on experience
- Experience streamlining a portfolio of business intelligence and analytics tools
- Develop and implement evolving BI visualization standards and best practices aligned to data governance and security standards
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques and assess opportunities to incorporate innovative approaches
3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Leading and collaborating with the BI Community of Practice on knowledge sharing and driving use of best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams across different BTG’s (Business Technology Groups) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and facilitate data accessibility
- Experience leading large-scale platform/tool migrations and ability to inspire and influence other BTG’s on adopting new technologies
- Communicate complex data insights to stakeholders through storytelling and data visualization
- Collaborate with enterprise architect team to define the architecture and BI priorities for efficiency and scalability
Essential Skills/Experience
- 15+ years of experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
- Hands-on expertise in designing and implementing self-service reporting, data visualization, and analysis tools to empower business users
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.
- Deep understanding of analytics principles and best practices for building scalable, reliable BI solutions
- Proven ability to translate complex data into compelling, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a global team.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a geographically dispersed business intelligence team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field – master’s degree is preferred
