As a Lending Professional  within our “ Client Advisor team” , you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm


You will partner with the Lending Advisors throughout the Sales lifecycle ensuring consistent high quality support with Advisor experience and Client experience at the heart of it. The India partner is also required to collaborate with WM Lending ecosystems within India to ensure tactical as well as strategic resolution of task requirements.


The VP position is a player-coach role and the individual is expected to drive business priorities for his aligned Advisors along with managing the Lending team


Job Responsibilities :


  • Assist the team in structuring, executing, and delivering credit solutions. 
  • Prepare related materials, including proposal memos and data analysis, liaise with client advisors (bankers, investors, client service specialists), risk, legal, and operations partners, and manage the deal execution process to completion. 
  • Interact with client advisors and the credit risk team in handling lending-related inquiries and following up on outstanding items. 
  • Understand the bank's credit risk framework and maintain a high level of awareness around any potential credit issues; resolve the issue and/or escalate to senior team members as required. Be familiar with the bank's credit documentation, including the terms and conditions, the structure, and its relevance to a transaction. 
  • Proactively resolve exceptions, open items, and transactional issues. Assist the team in preparing presentations and marketing materials, produce ad-hoc and regular management reporting, stress test scenarios, data analysis, and any other team initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with senior bankers and lending specialists to design and implement tailored credit solutions for high-value clients. Oversee the entire deal execution process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all loan requests within the system. 
  • Work closely with credit risk officers to handle waivers and exceptions. Develop in-depth subject matter expertise with the tasks described above and contribute to the particular Region/Market aligned, as well as guide the junior resources on the team with functional nuances.
  •  Identify and hire appropriate talent with varying experience levels, staff the team appropriately, and manage them both individually and as a collective team – set goals, monitor progress, and offer ongoing career guidance. 
  • Apply business/product/process understanding to identify opportunities to build depth in the function, move up the value chain from a complexity standpoint, and work towards end-to-end ownership of appropriate tasks. 
  • Establish strong controls and a governance framework to ensure proper integration of the India team with the global partners. Manage stakeholders through effective communication and regular status reporting to key business stakeholders. 
  • Ensure consistency and process efficiencies across the team, and identify opportunities for process improvements; analyze existing capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities. Lead and be the catalyst for change as requirements and priorities shift from planning to execution. Encourage and drive collaboration with related functions/groups supporting this business locally and globally to drive integration and efficiency.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • University degree holder (including MBA / CFA / FRM) with at least 10 years of professional experience in a similar capacity
  • Experience working in credit risk, credit documentation or lending experience
  • Inclination to understand market dynamics and develop expertise
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong team management experience and ability to navigate matrix organization. PowerPoint and Excel expertise required
  • Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of client management
  • Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Able to work under minimal supervision; adaptable to work in demanding environment
  • Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Should be flexible with EMEA /LATAM shifts
