Job Description
Role summary: The primary responsibility of this role would be to lead all aspects of the Pipeline & Middle Office teams catering to different geographies.
Reports to: Principal, Investment Operations
Supervises: 10+
Primary responsibilities:
Lead the middle office & pipeline operations team.
Responsible for overall daily results across teams, while simultaneously operationalizing and improving processes.
To build an environment of trust, confidence & collaboration with distributed team members.
Form relationships across different teams/internal departments (e.g Finance, Investment Accounting, Loan Servicing etc). Act as escalation point.
Assist with supervising workflows and controls to maintain oversight.
Identify operational improvements and participate in the implementation of approved changes.
Recommend controls by identifying problems and chipping in to critical metric / KRI reporting.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Sophisticated analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues
Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) confident running cross departmental meetings to multifaceted audiences including senior management.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment.
Strong control focus and ability to challenge and streamline processes.
Capable of efficiently leading multiple teams across geographies, contending priorities in a portfolio of moderately complex deals while participating in related projects
Critical thinker who can act with minimal direct supervision but seeks advice appropriately.
Strategic orientation so as to ensure the function continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner to Senior Management on credit risk management matters and on driving standard processes to support safety and soundness in the business space.
Self-starter with the ability to identify an issue, initiate a solution, and see it through to completion.
Ability to make recommendations and provide mentorship to efficiently advance projects across a globally coordinated enterprise.
Promotes the development of partnerships across teams to address complex issues and improve performance.
Required Knowledge:
Solid understanding of Private Credit loans
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong Project management and Business Analyst background preferred.
Experience working on middle office technology and workflow projects.
Strong PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Teams a bonus)
Have experience in leading various partners in different parts of the globe.
Have built, led & mentored successful teams.
Experience required:
More than 15+ years of Relevant work experience
Strong team leadership skills
Prior experience with an Alternative Asset, Fixed Income preferred
Knowledge of Hazeltree, IVP, ClearPar, Wall Street Office (WSO), Allvue Order Management System (OMS) and/or Advent Geneva strongly preferred
Proficient in risk analysis and risk management processes
Understands credit and syndication processes and the governing documentation including credit agreements and ancillary documents (knowledge of Equity docs a bonus)
Track record of running projects across business areas, coordinating, and addressing multiple partners to drive a consolidated effort and reach a positive conclusion.
