Position Overview


Position Title: Vice President, Go to Market, India


Location: Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai, India


As we continue to expand our presence in India, Autodesk is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader as the Vice President of Go to Market for India. This leader will be responsible for developing and leading the Go to Market team to deliver on our strategic focus in the region and consistently meet or exceed our growth targets for selling the Company’s software subscriptions and services. We want someone with a proven track record in the management of both direct and partner-based sales teams in a fast-paced, challenging and growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have experience selling enterprise-wide licensing and SaaS services and making strategic decisions regarding investment for growth.


In addition to having responsibility for their own revenue, this role will also be responsible for key strategic longer-term performance indicators. This leader will be pivotal to building and scaling a long term and sustainable business for India and own, lead, and evolve the India growth plan.


This leader will also be responsible for bringing the employees together to build a strong culture and workplace which both attracts and retains talent in India. They will forge strong relationships with our product, marketing, strategy and customer success teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals and business strategy and help inform and influence decisions regarding our presence, strategy and impact in India.


This role will report to the VP of Sales for APAC and Japan and sit on the APAC Leadership Team.


Responsibilities


GTM Leadership


  • Responsibility and overall accountability for the India growth plan.


  • Liaise closely with our leader for engineering in India and identify market expansion opportunities with customers, partners, government and education and drive the GTM team to deliver on these opportunities to meet and exceed our ambitious growth targets


  • Execute the global strategy on product direction and go-to-market in close cooperation with the Business Strategy Marketing Group and the Development Groups in the headquarters


  • Significantly increase the total sales of Autodesk’s products and services every year


  • Develop, inspire, and orchestrate the GTM team to deliver exceptional results. Align the teams on the India strategy and drive efficiencies and collaboration


  • Drive a geo-wide consistent introduction and execution of the sales motions in Mid-Market, Distribution and Channel sales as well as Inside Sales, while ensuring continued success in industry solution groups of Design and Manufacturing, AEC and M&E


  • Driving Sales productivity by reducing information failure points for Autodesk Sales and increasing process awareness through effective employee onboarding of sales processes


  • Drive customer satisfaction and adoption of Autodesk technology in these accounts


  • Strengthen Autodesk reputation and brand with customers, government agencies and local talent – be an ambassador for the company, our mission and value

Minimum Requirements


  • 15+ years sales and/or business development experience with a demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals


  • Demonstrated ability to be a strong collaborator amongst key executive stakeholders


  • Demonstrated success in working with Marketing, Direct and Channel Sales, and with key internal stakeholders to achieve sales goals


  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build relationships at multiple levels and to work cross-organizationally towards solutions


  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to deliver results in a global and matrixed organization


  • Demonstrated ability to grasp the technical aspects of the business (i.e. fully understanding the products and services in order to achieve and maximize sales results)


  • Proven team leadership abilities, including a creative and proactive approach to conflict resolution and problem-solving, mentoring, coaching, recognition, and performance management


  • Able to adapt and change with changing priorities and business initiatives


  • A highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with strong analytical skills


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


Travel


  • The position will require more than 25% travel
