Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls. We manage and partner on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations. We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Financial Solutions Lead - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Vice President, Financial Solutions Lead - C13) based in, India. In this role, you’re expected to:
• Organize reviews and perform root cause analyses on select product initiation system adjustments.
• Work with stakeholders and tech leads on prioritization and release alignment.
• Participate in business requirements (with stakeholders), UAT coordination, test case creation, etc.
• Work with data providers on necessary remediation's,
• Work with Controllers and related groups on process related improvements.
• Active participation in working group sessions, strategy planning and various reviews sessions to identify and facilitate creation of detailed action plans and commitments to Consent Order targets.
• Responsible for updating various project plans and key milestones related to project completion.
• Identify process improvement efforts and coordinate and streamline control activities across business and functional lines resulting from changes in operation model.
• Review the daily project plans and key milestones.
• Escalate potential issues identified in working group sessions.
• Liaise with members of Consent Order Working Groups, Finance transformation Process Leads, Reporting Operations and GPO to ensure the project plans and action items are up to date and published to stakeholders.
• Maintain constant dialog with transformation, Reporting Operations and Project Management to highlight issues with the overall Consent Order action plans.
• Understand and evaluate the implications of the changes proposed by Consent Order working group and capture the impact of same for communication with initiation system Operations.
• Interface with corporate functional leads for operational execution and interaction/ engagement resulting from proposed changes to Target Operating Model.
• Be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to all control programs and developing a sound and robust control environment.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
• 7+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred
• Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.
• Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
