We are looking for a high caliber professional to join Diversity Equity and Inclusion Practice team as a DEI Programs Manager (C13) based in Mumbai, India. The incumbent will work with key internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders, co-chairs of employee resource groups, external thought leaders across Asia, Australia, Middle-East and Africa.

The DEI Programs Manager is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by applying their expertise to craft relevant solutions for the franchise. They will be recognized as the SME for their coverage area which will include one or more of the dimensions of diversity shared above as well as geographic/ business coverage and ownership for key external partnerships. The role requires basic commercial awareness. Excellent communication, creative thinking, diplomacy skills and the ability to lead through influence are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues outside of their immediate team.
The DEI Programs Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing Citi’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. The incumbent will collaborate with various stakeholders to create business plans, monitor progress, manage budgets, and ensure the program is aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives and governance requirements. The incumbent will work closely with Network Leaders, the DEI Network Program Manager and Global DEI and Talent Management team to ensure smooth governance. Additionally, they will need to partner with CHROs / CCOs and their teams for the geographies in their coverage areas.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
Reviews data and recommends interventions based on attrition, hiring, promotion rates, and representation trends across levels and demographic groups across the enterprise and Legal Entity groups.
Analyzes and reports insights that inform leadership decisions, team priorities, and program execution.
Engages and partners with relevant external diversity organizations that can serve as thought partners and sources of DEI best practices, tools and resources.
Design strategies, tools, programs to address DEI challenges and align with goals and benchmarks.
Facilitating culture focus groups and ensuring outcomes are identified and actioned.
Report generation for effective tracking and reporting on ROI of DEI programs and initiatives.
Provides thought leadership and best practice tools and resources to In-Business Diversity Operating Councils & Committees (via DEI & TM advisor).
Creates effective communication channels to drive engagement and action, in partnership with stakeholders.
Gather data and inputs from Recruiting and Mobility, in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Early Career Programs to inform DEI initiatives and progress for external benchmarking exercises, candidate self-ID initiatives and regulatory reporting.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
At least 7-10 years of relevant experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on MS Excel and MS Power Point.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Self-motivated and detail oriented.
Understanding of budgeting and financial management principles is good to have.
Strong organizational and project management skills will be an additional advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and in a global team within.
Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed, global organization will be an advantage
Experience with/ exposure to DEI initiatives or a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
